The
photos that I show here on my site are a small sample of what
I'll capture during a gig; I only publish a handful online.
Too many people - even some other photographers - are not
selective in what they present publicly and put up too many
photos; this only robs you of mystique and devalues your live
show. Building a buzz is good; over-saturation with poor photos
is not.
If
you're serious about your art and you need images for promotional
purposes, do not denigrate your talent and hard work by using
mediocre pictures that someone took on their cell phone. Hire
someone - whether me or somebody else - who has taken the
time to improve their craft and has invested in pro equipment.
Creative imagery can help you stand apart and build mystique.
My
gear includes two Nikon DSLRs, a variety of lenses, a fog
machine and two tripod towers with multicolored wash lights.
